Payments are securely processed through our authorised payment service provider.

Activities begin promptly at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, late arrivals may cause delays for other guests and the welfare of our dogs.

Guests who fail to arrive on time will be considered a no-show, and no refund or alternative activity will be provided.

We strongly recommend that all guests have appropriate travel insurance covering delays, illness, flight cancellations and other unforeseen events.

4. Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be issued, less a 10% cancellation fee.

14 days or less before the activity:

5. Children

Age limits vary depending on the activity and are stated in each programme description.

Children aged 0–15 years are charged according to the applicable child price.

Guests aged 16 years and older are charged the adult price.

Children under 3 years of age may participate free of charge on selected activities while sitting on the lap of a paying adult, where specifically stated in the programme description.

The number and ages of all children must be provided at the time of booking.

Parents or guardians are fully responsible for ensuring that children are physically able to participate and follow the guide's instructions throughout the activity.

Arctic Borealis Huskies reserves the right to refuse participation for safety reasons, including unsuitable weather conditions or if a child is considered too young or physically unable to participate safely.

6. Participation Requirements

Customers participate voluntarily and are responsible for ensuring that they are physically capable of taking part in the activity.

Guests must inform Arctic Borealis Huskies at the time of booking of any medical conditions, disabilities or other circumstances that may affect their participation.

Husky safaris may not be suitable for everyone. Participation is generally not recommended for guests who are pregnant or who suffer from conditions that may be aggravated by physical activity or uneven terrain, including but not limited to back, neck, hip, knee, wrist or leg injuries.

Guests with heart conditions, epilepsy, severe asthma, diabetes, serious allergies or other medical concerns should consult their physician before participating.

Where appropriate, Arctic Borealis Huskies may require a participant to sign a waiver acknowledging these risks before the activity begins.

For safety reasons, the guide may decide that a participant is not permitted to drive a sled or other vehicle used during the activity. In such cases, the participant may instead ride as a passenger. The guide's decision is always final and is made solely to ensure the safety of all participants, staff and dogs.

7. Safety

The safety of our guests, dogs and staff is our highest priority.

All participants must carefully follow the instructions given by the guide before and during the activity.

Guests may not feed the dogs unless instructed by the guide.

The guide's decisions regarding safety are final.

Arctic Borealis Huskies reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation if a guest:

  • is under the influence of alcohol or drugs;

  • behaves in a dangerous, aggressive or disruptive manner;

  • ignores safety instructions;

  • wears clothing that is unsuitable for the prevailing weather conditions; or

  • is considered unable to participate safely for any physical or medical reason.

In these situations, no refund will be provided.

8. Weather Conditions & Programme Changes

All outdoor activities are subject to weather, trail conditions and other factors beyond our control.

Arctic Borealis Huskies reserves the right to modify, shorten, postpone, interrupt or cancel any activity if necessary to protect the safety of guests, staff or dogs, or to ensure animal welfare.

Where possible, a suitable alternative programme will be offered.

If Arctic Borealis Huskies cancels an activity and no suitable alternative can be arranged, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

No additional compensation shall be payable for accommodation, transportation, flights or any other indirect expenses arising from such cancellation.

The duration, distance and route of an activity are approximate and may vary depending on weather conditions, trail conditions, snow and ice conditions, the pace of the group and the welfare of our dogs.

9. Animal Welfare

Our dogs are valued members of our team. Their health, wellbeing and daily care always take priority over the operation of any activity.

The welfare of our dogs is at the heart of everything we do.

Our huskies are experienced working dogs that are carefully trained and looked after. However, animals are never completely predictable. Guests must always follow the guide's instructions when interacting with the dogs to ensure the safety of both people and animals.

Arctic Borealis Huskies reserves the right to modify or cancel an activity if necessary to protect the welfare of the dogs.

10. Customer Responsibilities

Guests are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully towards other participants, our staff, our dogs and the surrounding nature. Guests must treat the dogs with kindness and respect at all times.

Customers are responsible for wearing suitable clothing for the weather conditions. During the winter season, Arctic Borealis Huskies can provide thermal overalls and winter boots for guests when required.

For activities that include meals or refreshments, any food allergies, dietary requirements or other special dietary needs must be communicated at the time of booking. While we will do our best to accommodate dietary requests, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Customers are responsible for taking reasonable care of any equipment provided during the activity. Any damage caused intentionally or through negligent behaviour may be charged to the customer.

Guests are also responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate travel and personal insurance.

Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas and never near the dogs.

11. Liability

Arctic Borealis Huskies is committed to providing safe, professionally organised activities in accordance with Finnish legislation and applicable safety regulations.

Our activities are covered by valid public liability insurance.

Arctic Borealis Huskies shall only be liable for direct personal injury or property damage resulting from proven negligence by the company, its employees or its equipment.

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, Arctic Borealis Huskies shall not be liable for indirect losses or expenses, including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation expenses, missed connections, lost income or other consequential damages.

Participation in outdoor activities involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated despite appropriate safety measures.

12. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings throughout the activity.

Arctic Borealis Huskies accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal property unless caused by proven negligence on the part of the company.

13. Photography & Marketing

During activities, our guides may occasionally take photographs or videos for marketing and promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please inform your guide before the activity begins. We will always respect your wishes whenever reasonably possible.

Guests are welcome to take photographs during the activity, provided that doing so does not compromise safety or interfere with the instructions of the guide.

Guests are welcome to share photographs from their visit on social media.

14. Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process is used solely for managing bookings, providing our services and fulfilling our legal obligations.

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

15. Complaints

If a customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the activity, the matter should be brought to the attention of the guide or another representative of Arctic Borealis Huskies as soon as possible during the activity.

This allows us the opportunity to resolve the issue immediately whenever possible.

If the matter cannot be resolved on site, a written complaint should be submitted by email to info@abhuskies.fi within a reasonable time after the activity.

16. Force Majeure

Arctic Borealis Huskies shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

These circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

  • severe weather conditions;

  • insufficient snow or unsafe trail conditions;

  • flooding, storms or forest fires;

  • accidents or road closures;

  • government restrictions;

  • pandemics or epidemics;

  • strikes or labour disputes; or

  • any other unforeseen event making the activity unsafe or impossible to operate.

  • animal illness

Where possible, Arctic Borealis Huskies will offer an alternative activity or an alternative date.

If this is not possible, the customer will receive a refund of the amount paid. No additional compensation shall be payable.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland.

Any disputes shall first be resolved through negotiations between the customer and Arctic Borealis Huskies.

If no agreement can be reached, the customer may refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta), where applicable, or to the District Court of Lapland, Finland.
